Robots Live established in 2001, organising events solely in the Leicestershire arena; the first show being 'War Bots', and event attended by an audience in excess of 1000. Following that success we then went on to host another event at the Snibston Discovery Park, attended by over 30 Roboteers and with audience number over 2000.
Over the next five years, Robots Live continued to provide unmissable events to the nation, moving from strength to strength. Until it was decided the time was upon the organisation to build a large scale touring arena, that would play host to some of the fiercest robotic combat seen. Our new and flexible arena was first unveiled in time for use in our home town of Whitwick, which proved an apt opening to a successful 2007 tour. During our 207 tour, over 12000 people saw robots in action at our events across the UK. Events were hosted in many large UK venues, such as the eXcel Centre in London and the Triangle, Burgess Hill. Where we were voted 'Best Family Entertainment Show of 2007'.
In 2008 we attended many of the UK's largest venues adding the Northgate Arena, Rivermead Complex and the NEC to our list. As well as attending some of our previous locations from 2007.
Since then Robots Live has grown many times. Including extra touring arenas, House Robots and taking our touring show all around the world!
As well as the construction of our arenas, and house robots, the Robots Live HQ has been host to many other creations. The team have created robots for the special forces, which have been required to travel into hazardous areas from two miles away. Bringing a tractor to life for children's TV, just to name a few of the projects we have been involved with.
In 2007 the team also competed in Channel 4's Scrapheap Challenge. Named the 'Robot Warriors' the team set about producing a machine that could prove stiff competition when pitched against other teams of engineering enthusiasts.
